Icare in Raffia

The open top threw me at first — I'm used to zipped bags and felt slightly anxious on the tube. Once I stopped overthinking it I started loving it. The chain closure is actually very secure and the way it sits on your shoulder is really comfortable for a bag this size. Quality is immaculate. Ordered from Eris after a friend recommended them and had zero issues.

Every summer I'd tell myself it was too trendy. Now I realize it's actually the opposite — it's the kind of bag that looks better the longer it's around. There's something almost timeless about raffia done at this scale. Eris had it in stock when everyone else was showing waiting lists. Delivery to France took four days which I wasn't expecting. Very happy.

People focus on the exterior but the inside is lovely — clean, well-structured, and that little removable pouch is so practical. I've been using it as a carry-on personal item and everything fits: iPad, wallet, sunglasses, chargers, a light jacket. I was nervous about raffia being delicate but I've taken it on two trips already and it still looks pristine. I absolutely love it, but I want to be honest: it's large. Like, really large. I'm 5'3 and it's almost oversized on me which I personally love, but if you're petite and prefer understated bags this might feel like a lot. That said the craftsmanship is exceptional and Eris was incredibly responsive when I had a question about authentication. Would buy again without hesitation.
